Montana born and raised. Matt Pfister grew up in Helena, MT, working, ranching, roping, and living the outdoor lifestyle until he was 21 when he decided to enlist in the US Coast Guard. In the Coast Guard, he started on small boats in Cape May, NJ, executing Search And Rescue and Law Enforcement. He was accepted into Coast Guard aviation, where he attended an aviation maintenance school in Tulsa, OK. After completing school, he was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, at AirStation Kodiak on HC-130H airplanes. Over the next seven years in Kodiak, Matt qualified as a Basic Aircrewman, Dropmaster, Loadmaster, and Flight Engineer. Matt was an experienced C-130 Mechanic. The Coast Guard mission in Alaska is Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement, and logistics. Matt deployed numerous times to South America in support of multiple agency drug interdiction operations. Matt was also stationed in Sacramento, CA, for three years, Kodiak, AK, for another five years, and finally, Barbers Point, HI, on Oahu. Retiring after 20 years of military service, Matt took his next step and accepted a job as the lining and coating manager at a friend’s plumbing company. Over the next three years, he learned plumbing and excavation on residential and commercial jobs. During that time, Matt and his wife Rachel bought land in Olney, MT, where a dream of developing it was born. They then took the leap and left Hawaii to come home to Montana. Matt accepted a job at a Kalispell excavation company and continued to learn the dirt construction world. Matt currently owns a landscaping company where he loves to help homeowners create their own curb appeal.
Matt is married to Rachel, an amazing architect at A&E Design. He has two kids, Brayden, who majors in photography, and Shelby, who majors in Marine Biology. When Matt isn’t making homes more beautiful or selling real estate, he is planning and building out on his acreage in Olney. He also loves to be in the mountains hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, boating, and exploring with his wife, dogs, and kids.
